The beautiful Banksia artwork that shines through our bottles was created by Natalie Ryan, a Textile Designer who studied botanical painting at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne.
For this piece she was inspired by the many varied and distinctive ‘toothed’ leaves of the 78 species of Banksias and the artwork by artist Sydney Parkinson, who along with Sir Joseph Banks and Dr Danial Solander (our namesakes), collected samples of the native Banksias that are common in Botany Bay.
We think Natalie’s watercolour is beautiful! We also love the connection to our namesakes and the many different types of Banksias our Distillery is surrounded by.
