Negroni Week

Three bars. Three very different Negronis.

Let’s see where this classic can take you!

It’s Negroni Week, so we thought we’d take a little trip around Sydney and see what some of our favourite bars are doing with Banks & Solander Gin.

A Negroni may seem like a simple recipe, gin, Campari and sweet vermouth, but that doesn't mean there’s only one way to make one. Give those ingredients to different bartenders and things can get pretty interesting.

That’s what we love about spirits. Adventures in flavour can take you in all kinds of directions, and this week we’re following our gins into three Sydney venues to see where they take the Negroni.

ORA Restaurant, Waterloo

At Ora, our Ora Gin meets a whole new set of Japanese inspired flavours.

Made for ORA. The gin we created for them has flavours inspired by their food and drinks including kombu, rice wine, mandarin and sesame, as well as, a big hit of juniper.

Their Ume Negroni (Plum Negroni) brings together our Ora Gin, Antica Formula, Campari and a plum shrub to create an elegant twist on the classic Negroni.

Arms Length Bar, Potts Point

Then there’s Arms Length.

Using our Fig Gin with its earthy and savoury notes, Arms Length have created a rich and distinctly fig-forward take on the Negroni.

Their Figroni combines our Fig Gin with a fig aperitif and Naturi Rosso, a sweet red vermouth. The result is a rich, fruit forward take on the classic Negroni. This one is worth a try!

4 Donkey Cocktail Bar, Surry Hills

And finally, the Figroni.

The team at 4 Donkey Bar are also using our Fig Gin to make a Figroni, but once again, they’ve taken it in their own direction.

Their Figroni combines our Fig Gin with a rhubarb liqueur, adding a little brightness to the drink. Dark and deep, with plenty going on.

Three Bars.

Three different Negronis.

That’s the funs of exploring flavour, you never know where a familiar drink might take you.

It’s one very good reason to get out and explore Sydney’s bars this week. If you find yourself having a Negroni made with a Banks & Solander Gin, send us a pic! We love seeing our gins out in the wild.

But don’t worry if you can't make it to all three bars this week; these Negronis aren’t going anywhere!
